YADA

As we near the end of school and head into the summer… I want you to tell me one thing you liked about YADA this year and why.  Was it an activity, the meetings, doing a special project, meeting someone new…. what?  Why did you enjoy it so much?

Let’s hear from YOU. I want to hear some stories about peer pressure and how you dealt with them or helped someone else out in dealing with them!  Open up here and talk to your fellow YADA friends… maybe they can give you advice for next time?

What is your take on what Micheal Phelps did?  HOw do you look at him now, any differently?  What would you suggest to him if he were taking advice?  Give me some input about your thoughts and feelings about him and getting caught smoking marijuana.

For this discussion I want you to ask your fellow YADA members a question about drug and alcohol awareness.  Be sure to respond to at least one person too (you can respond to as many as you want though).

I want to hear some good questions that you honestly want other students opinions about!

These are some of the websites on the Youth page from the NADAA website.  Go to at least 3 of them and see what you like and do not like.  What caught your eye and which ones did you not like to spend time at?  Tell me everything that went through your head when you tried some of these out.  Ask other students questions about the websites here on the discussion board… see what they have to say back.  I want to hear what you all have to say! 

If money were not an issue, what would you do to make changes in the community to enforce better habbits for students?  (What would you do to keep kids from drinking, using tobacco, and using drugs?) Go outside the box.  Would you make a mall here, put up a rollercoaster, make a water park… what would you do to try to keep students from encountering in harmful substances?  Be creative, remember money is not an issue!
